Mr. Routh became an associate with the firm in 2017. Mr. Routh was a Jerome N. Frank Legal Fellow at Yale Law School, working in The Sol and Lillian Goldman Family, Advocacy for Children and Youth, and Immigration Legal Services Clinics. Mr. Routh also participated in CUNY’s Family Law Practice Clinic, where he worked at Brooklyn Family Defense Practice representing indigent parents in child welfare cases.

Mr. Routh’s research paper, “Re-Thinking Liberty: Cannabis Prohibition & Substantive Due Process,” was published in the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy. Mr. Routh is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and New York City Bar Association, where he participates on the Drugs and the Law Committee. Mr. Routh works on a wide array of issues including but not limited to housing and real estate, family law and divorce, bankruptcy, surety and bail bond and appellate matters.

Since joining the firm in 2017, Mr. Routh has successfully advocated for homeowners and property investors regarding complex foreclosure litigation and real estate matters including but not limited to partition actions, deed fraud, adverse possession and landlord-tenant disputes. Mr. Routh has authored numerous successful motions to dismiss and appellate briefs, resulting in the dismissal of scores of time-barred foreclosure actions. Mr. Routh has argued appeals in the First and Second Department. Mr. Routh is admitted to the courts of New York State, U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern, and Southern Districts of New York. Mr. Routh is a member of the Queens Women’s Bar Association.
